Cowboy Boots & Birthday Wishes ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share one of my favorite cards featuring the Hat & Boots (E829) from Great Impressions Stamps.

First step was to stamp the Hat & Boots (E829) several times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Kraft cardstock. I then pulled out my Copic Markers to color each piece, fussy cut them out, and layer it back together with 3D Foam Squares and Mini Glue Dots. I wanted to create a 3D effect with the Hat & Boots. It's a little hard to tell in the photo's but it looks truly awesome in person.

I pulled the colors from the boots for the background, including the faux stitching around the edges, added some distress ink around the image, and incorporated some wood DP.

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Swimming Turtles

Hello! We are sponsoring over at the CRAFT challenge this week and the theme is back to school.

Here's my card:

Great Impressions, Leah Cornelius, Swimming Turtles, watercolor

I decided to use this image for the back to school theme taking liberties with a nod to the movie Finding Nemo :) I can imagine these little turtles going off to turtle school... The image is called (F368) Swimming Turtles. I stamped them onto watercolor paper and watercolored them using Tombow markers.

Teacher Thank You ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share a Teacher Thank You card featuring the Being You Sentiment (D509) from Great Impressions Stamps.

Great Impressions Stamps will be Sponsoring this weeks C.R.A.F.T. Challenge, and today's card is a hint on what the theme will be for their upcoming challenge.

I pulled out the Being You Sentiment, and inked up just the "Thank You" part of the sentiment for today's card. I made an apple using an apple die with the coordinating stem die, added some googly eyes and twine to add a smiley face to my apple. I layered the "Thank You" on my Bazzill Candy Apple Red cardbase which features school-lined cardstock, and used 3D foam tape to add the apple. To finish my card off I added 3 cherry enamel dots to the upper right hand corner.

Remember to hop on over to the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog on Thursday for all the details about their New Challenge.

There is still time to play along with our current Great Impressions Challenge. Make you stop by for all of the details, and if you use some Great Impressions Stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Floating Flamingo ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share a FUN Summer card with you featuring the Floating Flamingo (H287) along with the State of Mind Sentiment (D297) from Great Impressions Stamps.

I couldn't resist getting the new adorable Floating Flamingo to play with. I stamped this beauty with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored her up with my Copic Markers, used my Copic Airbrush around the image and cut her out with my Pierced Square Die.

Once done I pulled out some FUN Summer DP to create my background, adding the State of Mind Sentiment to the bottom panel which I Airbrushed to match my Floating Flamingo panel. Final step was to layer the Floating Flamingo panel with 3D Foam Tape to my card design.

Just a friendly reminder about our current Great Impressions Challenge ...

Birthday Bicycle

Hello! Leah from Paper Blossoms here and we are re-visiting some older cards this week! Here is mine:

Isn't this a fun image?! I inked up and colored the Birthday Bicycle (G504) using Copics and to the same round focal mat added the sweet Flag Banner (E846).  The pretty pink background is stamped using the Twirly Background Sm. (E845) and my sentiment comes from the Tags (G483) set. Some stitching and sequins finish my card. I hope you like it!

Baby Shower Gifts ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share the Baby Shower Gifts I recently made featuring the Baby Bassinet (H227)Being You Sentiment (D509), and the New Little Baby Sentiment (C434) from Great Impressions Stamps.

Whenever I am invited to a Shower, Baby or Bridal, I always give A1 Thank You cards as one of my gifts. As we all know, Thank You cards are a necessity for any of these events.

I mass produced a set of 30 Thank You cards for a baby girl. I cut 30 pieces of Classic Natural White cardstock into panels, stamped the lovely Baby Bassinet and part of the Being You Sentiment, which I cut up, with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored only the ribbon on each Baby Bassinet and then layered the panel on Pink cards that I cut to size for A1 cards (3-1/2" x 5"). I made coordinating envelopes for each card by stamping a portion of the Baby Bassinet on Natural White Envelopes, once again coloring only the ribbon on each.

Next up is the Bookmark I made to attach to the Diaper Raffle. Why a bookmark you ask? The recipient wanted books to read to her baby instead of receiving a card with each gift.

I continued the design for the Bookmark using the Baby Bassinet, and adding the New Little Baby Sentiment under the image.

You may be wondering what I meant about cutting the Being You Sentiment.  Since the stamps are cushioned red rubber stamps they are very easy to cut apart, and then line them back up to use as they are designed. Here is what the original stamp looks like, without the background effects.

A NEW Great Impressions Challenge went live Sunday. Make you stop by for all of the details, and if you use some Great Impressions Stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Whimsical Thinking of You

Happy Friday, fellow stamp lovers!  Julie here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. I've switched my posting day to Friday.  Woohoo!  It makes the weekend seem a bit closer!

I have a whimsical card to share today, using 2 fun Great Impressions Stamps:

This card features F399 - Lacy Mushrooms and B195 - Playful Thinking of You.   I colored F399-Lacy Mushrooms with Copic markers. Even though it's a whimsical stamp, I tried for a somewhat realistic mushroom color.  Yes? No?  Maybe?

There's a new challenge starting Sunday, so stop back in to see the optional theme and join in the fun!

Cute Boots

Hello! Leah from Paper Blossoms here :) Sometimes the simple things can cheer us up, like a favorite pair of boots! Here's my card for you today.

Great Impressions,Leah Cornelius, Cute Boots, handmade cards

This is such a fun stamp set and I love ones that have an image together with a sentiment. I colored the boots with Copics and added Distress ink around the edges of the card. This super fun image is called (F448) When It Rains. The sequins are to represent rain. What do you think?

Golf Anyone ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share a masculine card with you featuring the Vintage Golf Bag (E503) along with the What Else is There Sentiment (D297) from Great Impressions Stamps.

I started out by stamping the Vintage Golf Bag three times. One I cut out with my Nestabilities Circle Die, colored the other two with my Copic Markers, did a bit of fussy cutting and layered the image together to add a bit of dimension. I layered the panel on my background and added a red pearl to the pocket on the bag. I then stamped the What Else is There Sentiment, layered it on navy cardstock, and added it to the card with 3D Foam Square. The final step was to add some Glossy Accents to the golf ball and clubs.

A NEW Great Impressions Challenge goes live this coming Sunday. Make you stop by for all of the details, and if you use some Great Impressions Stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!
