Fanciful Friday

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends! Welcome to the Great Impressions blog for a bit of inspiration today. Let’s start the day with a card using a new stamp from Great Impressions!

For this card, I used an embossing folder and added distress ink. I cut large ovals and stamped the sentiment on the smaller one. I added a little ribbon and a couple of flowers and that finished off this fairly simple card.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my card and will stop by my blog to leave me some love!

Wonderful Wednesday with Joni

Today I have F608 Beary Wet from Great Impressions.
I colored this adorable image with copics and used an oval die to frame the image.
I added the E867 Spin Cycle Sentiment to the top of the card.
I framed off the sentiment with yellow twine and added a few sequins for fun!

Enjoy

I hope you are having a good week so far! Today I have a pretty new image to share with you called J116 Hydrangeas.

This image is perfect for looser watercoloring which is what I did. I used Tombow markers and a #4 round brush to color my image. For my sentiment I stamped and trimmed out the G483 Tags, "enjoy the day".

Birthday Gifts

Hello again, friends!  I'm back with another card using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I have another birthday card--this time mostly monochrome with a fun POP of color!  Come and take a peek...

I used Distress Markers to color in this fun image--G479 Whimsical Gifts.  I added some fun colored enamel dots as well as more stamping using gray ink and C361 Confetti Swirl.

The sentiment was punched out and made into a tag.  This sentiment is A98 A Birthday Wish.  I added some coral ribbon to it for just a tad more color.

This main panel and sentiment were layered onto a card base that was gussied up with some monochrome patterned paper.  I think this card is super fun!  What do you think?  I'd love for you to let me know in the comments below!

That's all for me today!  I'll be back next Monday with another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions store.  I hope you join in our current challenge, and, if you use Great Impressions stamps, link them up in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Wonderful Wednesdays with Joni

Our theme this week  at Great Impressions is birthdays with a twist.
I made a shaker card.
I used the  F585 Party Cow from Great Impressions.
I heat embossed it and colored it with watercolor markers.  The sentiment G469 Udderly is actually on a wobble spring so it moves or twists!

Birthday Cards With A Twist

Hello! This week the DT is bringing you ideas on fun birthday cards that have a special element to them to make them extra special.

For my card I decided a pocket in the front with a gift of money peeking out would be sure to bring an extra to smile to someone special. For my image I used the super cute G505 Birthday Friends. I colored with Copics and added the G483 Tags Happy Birthday sentiment.

Dino Birthday Tin

Hello again, friends!  I'm back with another card using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  This week, the DT is sharing kid themed birthday projects with a twist.  I went with a card and gift in one tin!  Come and take a peek...

The image on the front of the tin is H177 Party Dinos.  I watercolored them and then added some sequins for shine.  This was added to the tin after I added some patterned paper and ribbon.

The top inside of the tin was gussied up with more patterned paper and a sentiment--E759 Time To Celebrate.  And what's inside?  Some fun dinosaur dot-to-dots and markers to finish them with!

So much fun in a small package!  And I think this would be pretty easy to mail, don't you?  I would love to know what you think about this project in a comment below!

That's all for me today!  I'll be back next Monday with another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions store.  I hope you join in our current challenge, and, if you use Great Impressions stamps, link them up in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Hello Friend!

Happy Saturday!

Sometimes, we just need a masculine card, and they are SO difficult!
Let me show you a fun and easy way to send those favorite guys a greeting
that will bring them lots of smiles.

This card is very easy to make - read on for dimensions and directions.

This shot shows the card closed.

And here's what it looks like closed.

1. Start with a card base fo 5.5" x 8.5".
2. Score on long side, as 2 1/8" and 4 1/4".
3. Stamp sentiment on card base, and image on scrap piece.
4. Trim and mat the focal panel with a coordinating color.
5. Cut a panel and coordinating mat that will fit directly behind the focal panel.
6. Adhere the panel to the card base first.
7. Next, apply adhesive to only the left half of focal panel. Adhere in place
on card front, aligning the image with your panel on the card base.
Done!

I just used a simple rectangle - you can use your favorite dies, or just use your paper cutter
to cut simple rectangles or squares.

Wasn't that easy peasy?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Birthday Train

Happy Thursday Great Impressions Stamp Friends!

Kendra from Luv 2 Scrap 'n Make Cards here today to share a Kid's Birthday card with you!!

Recently we celebrated a friend's little guys 2nd Birthday!

I created this super fun card for him:

I used the cute H207 Train Delivery!
Perfect for any little guy!

I also used the B202 Happy Birthday sentiment!
I really like this sentiment for kids cards as if kind of looks like a kids handwriting to me!

Wonderful Wednesday with Joni

Finally enjoying the spring, almost summer like weather, here in NH!
Although I guess we could use some rain.
So I decided to use this adorable G522 Spring Boots stamp from Great Impressions.
I colored the image with copics and used a circle die to fame the image.
I added the You're Specical from the Rubber Tags G483.
Then I added the sentiment C340 Happy Birthday.

So Very Special

Hello! Today I have a sweet card to share with you that would be perfect to encourage a friend. I used the new and very adorable F606 Skunk With Flowers image.

I colored my image with Copics and for the sentiment used D500 So Very Special. For my little hearts and dots background I used the A54 Hearts and Dots stamp which stamps up a background very quickly even though it's a small stamp.

Buzzing By!

Hello again, friends!  I'm back with another card using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I'm sharing a fun CAS card using a simple color combo and a punny sentiment/image combo...you KNOW how I love those!  Come and take a peek...

This card was totally simple to create.  All I had to so was stamp the sentiment, A147 Buzzing By, and the image, A55 Bee, to a strip of patterned paper.  I added some Wink of Stella to the bee wings for added shine.

Some enamel dots and a black mat were all I had to add to the patterned paper panel and then add it to a white card base.  Super quick and fabulous!  At least, I think so!  What do you think?  I hope you share your opinion in the comments below!

That's all for me today!  I'll be back next Monday with another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions store.  I hope you join in our current challenge, and, if you use Great Impressions stamps, link them up in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Happy Birthday

Good morning, and Happy Saturday!

Today, I'm sharing a card I made using Great Impressions stamps.
I think you'll like this one - I think it turned out quite nicely.

To create this card, I used the following Great Impressions stamps:

To create this card, the image was colored with Copic markers.
I then cut from the bottom and from the top with a paper trimmer, in to the image, and fussy cut the bottom of the pots and the tops of the flowers and butterfly, leaving a 'split' panel.
Next, this panel was matted with a piece of patterned paper, and then adhered to the card front.
The sentiment was stamped directly onto the patterned paper, and fussy cut.
A few tiny 'blings' were added for fun.
The border at the top was one that Deone, the owner, included in my last stamp order.
The border both balanced the black bling at the bottom, AND hid a boo boo at the top.
Lol...creative opportunity, right?
