People Who Leave A Great Impression On Us

Monday, April 30, 2012

Good morning and Happy Monday. Glad to finally have a post ready and up. I am glad to be making a little something.

Well lets get to my card. I made this for a team member because she has covered for me time and time again. Jenny is wonderful and great and she is always on top of her game and prepared. Thanks so much for helping me out!

I kept this really clean and simple.  I used the stamp Thanks with Flowers

I used several ink pads to color the stamp then finished the centers off with come Sparkle N Sprinkle Champagne Glitter. I used several colors of twine to finish off the top of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you stop by to see what Jenny makes for you tomorrow!

A Dirty Tag and some Great Stamps

I have a craft mat. Love it. Easy to use and easy to clean! Spritz the mat with water when I'm done... and use a tag to clean up the mess! That's how the background of this tag was started.

Then when I was through 'picking up color,'  I added it to my ring of tags to be used another day...not a bit of ink goes to waste; love my craft mat!

Now when I need a little something I pick up my ring of tags and choose one to start from. It's especially great when I need to use up some bits in my stash or need a little creative help getting out of a rut.

Watercolored the darling Skunk using Distress Inks and Viva Pearl Pens to add dimension to the flower centers and the Skunk's curly top. There's texture via the stamped and clear glitter heat embossed and dry embossed background. Lots of texture! Stop by my blog to see more about this clean up technique.

Just wanted to say, "Wow!" at the number of fabulous entries for this month's challenge...74 at the time of this post. Is one of the entries your's?

There's still a few days left to enter...don't be shy! Link up your project for an entry to win...a Great Impressions stamp is not necessary, but if you do use a Great Impressions stamp, you'll get two entries for the drawing for one project!

Thanks...

Good morning friends!

Isn't this the sweetest little train?
I dressed him up with some Cosmo Cricket DP and he is
chugging along on a train track that I created out of an edge punch.

My sentiment was an idea floating around in my head (grin!)
and put to paper by my computer.

Birthday Wishes

Good Monday morning to you all!
It's a brand new week and life is good!

Today I am sharing a card I made for my special Auntie.
She doesn't live close by, so I don't get to see her nearly enough.
She is one of my biggest crafty supporters.  She may be just a tad prejudice (grin!) but she thinks anything I create is wonderful.  So needless to say I love her dearly!

I've been into circle cards lately.  Really super easy to make with my Nesties.
My flower is made from felt which gives my card plenty of extra dimension.
To highlight my sentiment I paper pierced around my circle.

Supplies
Not Shown:  Felt and Ribbon Scrap

Thinking of You

It's Friday!!

No fun plans for me this weekend, but that's okay as I am playing catch up at home.
Finishing up some Spring cleaning with hopefully enough time left to get some crafting in.
I sometimes reward myself for cleaning by treating myself to craft time after. (grin!)
Does anyone else do that?

Today's card came about from playing with a loopy edge punch.
I think it has a bit of an Asian flair with the "fan" I created.

Supplies
Not Shown:  Ribbon Scrap

I'll be looking for more entries for our monthly challenge this weekend.
Love to come visit you and see your work!
The challenge will be up until the end of the month.

Have a great weekend!

Hugs,

Jenny
